@ D7K Could you explain what you mean by 'you are dropping it on a track that actualy has video on it right?' I can find nothing on the NewBlue website that indicates this must be so and in fact watching a few of their videos they appear to be used on video overlays unless I'm missing something which is often the case LOL.
Well, I reset Vegas to default settings then went through all software and project settings and set things the way I prefer. The crash bug has not returned at this point. I am wondering if a configuration file that affects only the Vegas/NewBlueFX combination was somehow corrupted, and whether the reset resolved that issue. [ DOWNLOAD ] SONY VEGAS New Blue Effect work100% download.
@Northall By help files I take it you mean that by clicking on the '?' Mark (by hovering the mouse over it indicates plug-in help) nothing is brought up? If so, I'm experiencing the same.
D7K I have been adding it to the video segment. That is when the error message appears in the preview window about the missing dll file. Also when selecting the titler from the list of effects, the same error message is showing in the thumbnail window where the example effects are shown. This is before trying to place it on the timeline. In my opinion there does seem to be missing files, or the wrong version of software is available for download.
In my list of downloadable software I have: 32 and 64 bit versions of Movie studio Platinum 32 and 64 bit versions of Magic bullet Quick looks New BlueFX 3D Titling and video effects - only a single file, no choice of 32 or 64bit versions DVD Architect Studio version 5 build 161 Sound forge audio studio Version 10.0 Build 178 (all versions in english) The New Blue video effects all work OK but not the titler. Stillawaiting a reply from the support team. I have the Titler on a separate event - often as a text event and it works just fine and I'm guessing as it's supposed to.
Scrolling forward to minute 1:47 of this video shows my setup although please note this is not my video @jetdv The release that came with VMSP Suite is entitled 'NewBlue TitlerEX - Open FX'. With the Titler open and then going to Help - Check for updates it comes back that an update is available.latest 1.1 Build 12.0815 with a few bugs being now fixed. Clicking on Download opens the web page and the title of the download is NewBlueTitlerProForWindowsSetup 10-1208.exe with the file size being 83.5MB Question: does this update/download apply to the bundled package that came with the the purchase of VMSP Suite or will users be in for a nasty surprise i.e. Extra costs after this download is installed?
I'm noting particularly the mention of the word Pro in the download title even though this is not mentioned in the VMSP packaged version. I trust that I've explained this well enough LOL. Vkmast: Titler Ex is a 'baby brother' to Titler Pro similar to how Movie Studio is a 'baby brother' to Vegas Pro.
Yes, Titler Ex is available as a generated media. Northaal: The TitlerEx installer contains both the 32-bit and 64-bit version. We've also discovered an installer issue if you are using a 32-bit OS that will cause the 'missing titler.dll' error. Start a help ticket at newbluefx.com and I can help you with that error. Boy Atlantis: Any 'TitlerPro' update file is not and update for TitlerEx. It appears the TitlerEx 'Check for Updates' function is checking the wrong location.
I will get this reported. In short, NewBlueTitlerProForWindowsSetup 10-1208.exe is not and update for TitlerEx To all: you should not have both Titler Ex and Titler Pro installed at the same time. If you have Vegas Pro 11, use Titler Pro.
If you only have Movie Studio, either use Titler Ex or purchase Titler Pro but don't have both installed at the same time. Jetdv, maybe you can offer me some advice as well.
I have VMS 12 and Newblue Titler EX installed and working fine on a dedicated audio-video computer, my issue is related to activation of the software, probably due to a combination of my problems and Newblue problems. When running the Newblue standalone ManageActivation.exe, it refers only to Titler Pro, not Titler Ex, and entering my Titler EX serial number does nothing to enable either the 'Activate' or 'Manually Activate' buttons to be selected. When running the activation module from within the plug-in's help menu, it does refer to Titler EX, but it does not provide an offline activation method. Unfortunately, there's something slightly wrong with my installation of Windows 7 64bit, I cannot get it to connect to the internet no matter what.
Until now, this hasn't been an issue because I don't want it connected to the internet and all my other software has provided an offline activation method. But right now, I'm kind of stuck, and Titler EX is telling me I only have 11 more days to activate it. Do you have any suggestions? I now see what the error is. When I had the NB Titler Ex (included with VMS11) installed on VMS11 and after I installed VMS12, it worked fine. After I installed Titler Pro, I had to uninstall both versions and then I reinstalled the Titler EX that came with VMS12.

Now, if I use the Media Generator, I drag it to the timeline, I get no response (no crash either). If I drag it to a video event, I get a thumbnail that says 'titler.dll not found'. I uninstalled it, ran ccleaner and reinstalled. I still get the same behaviour.
If I recall, there was no 32-bit vs. 64 bit choice for the install (I'm on 32 bit).
I also note that this is an OFX version of titler (compared to the one included with VMS11). For the record, titler.dll is in folder C: Program Files NewBlue NewBlue Titler EX for Sony Vegas MSPPS.
